Guidance and training to beginners and runners of all ages and abilities. Beginners need no experience, only a desire to achieve a running goal. Experienced runners who need variety or are looking to train smarter are also welcome.

Basic training is in and around Jack Muller Park, Boston or via WhatsApp. The advanced runners get to traverse Tygerberg.
You are welcome to try out the training before you decide to join.
Certificates are awarded to runners who complete the majority of the training and manage the following times:
Beginners:
5 km – sub 1 hour 30 minutes
10 km – sub-two hours
Intermediate:
Half Marathon – sub 3 hours
Advanced:
Marathon – sub 5 hours
Ultramarathon – within the given period provided by the race organisers
Pricing
Level | Per Month | Programme Description |

Beginners | R450 for three months, paid in advance | Beginners sign up as members of Die Skilpad Bende (The Tortoise Gang). They train as a group three times weekly. The goals are 5 km and 10 km races. Anyone is welcome. |
Intermediate | R600 for three months, paid in advance | Prerequisite: must be able to run 10 km in less than 1 hour and 45 minutes. This group trains for a 15 km or Half Marathon. |
Advanced | R600 for three months, paid in advance | Prerequisite: You must be able to run a Half Marathon in less than 2 hours and 25 minutes. This group trains for a Marathon or Ultramarathon. |
Fees are per 3 (three) months (a school term) or part thereof.
